i love when people ask me what i do for a living. “i’m a photographer,” I say, proudly. do i love what i do? yes. is it a dream job? yes. am i constantly leaning and evolving? yes.

does it give me anxiety knowing my clients are counting on me to capture a moment in time that can never be duplicated and will be totally disappointed if the photos don’t turn out as expected? no. can’t you tell?

This is the part where i say all the cheesy, cliché stuff about how much I love photography. To me, it really is the perfect medium. Capturing a moment in time that we can look back upon whenever we want is the best invention ever.

I’m fortunate to be able to work on my craft everyday with my kids as my subjects. It’s a win-win for me. I practice my skills AND create memories of my kids at the same time. Not gonna lie though, most of the time I’m bribing my kids with marshmallows and lucky charms for just one more photo of them smiling.

Even though I love to crack jokes and be sarcastic, I take the trust my clients give me to capture their moments very seriously. My work is my art and I take great pride in expressing it to the world.

When I don’t have my camera in my hand you might find me on Pinterest looking up the next DIY house project I’m about to assign to my husband.

Or, I’m doing laundry while listening to Taylor Swift. You would not believe how many times a day three little girls change their clothes.

my kids

I obviously take a zillion photos of my kids. They are my stand-ins to test lighting at a new location, my models when playing around with a new lens, and my muses who inspire me with their wild personalities.

my travels

Hey I went somewhere new and I spent a lot of money to get here and now I’m gonna show it off. If you take a trip and don’t take any photos, did you even go?
